On 7 Jan 2015 four satirical cartoonists was killed at
the Charlie Hebdo satirical magazine building in Paris, France. They were only exercising their right to freedom of speech and expression.
It has been said that the pen is mightier than the sword.
It has been said that a picture is worth a thousand words.
The power of art is profound. It can inspire anything from
charity to outrage.
Freedom of speech is a weapon in and on itself and clearly
provides a threat to those who oppose it. So many systems and religions and
ideologies do not want people to be truly free to choose and form their own
opinions and they fought so hard to defend that right.
There are so many good cartoons being drawn in honor of
those who died at Charlie Hebdo
